Door to Door: As it is clear by its name, door to door services means pick up from door and delivery at customer’s door. Door to Door services have three popular categories
- DDU-It means, parcel will be picked from door and delivery at customer’s door but destination duty need to be pay by consignee.
- DDP-It means, parcel will be picked from door and delivery at customer’s door but destination duty need to be pay by shipper
- DAP- It means, parcel will be picked from door and delivery at customer’s door but destination duty and destination clearance need to be done by consignee
Door to Port: This is also known as CIF shipment. It means shipment will be picked from shipper’s door but it will travel till destination airport only. At destination airport, the consignee needs to align a broker to collect the cargo from Airlines.
